Delo Group says may buy fleet in next 2–3 years – Delo CEO

MOSCOW, Nov 18 (PRIME) -- Russian transport holding Delo Group is considering acquisition of a fleet of vessels in two to three years, Dmitry Pankov, CEO of the group’s management company Delo, told reporters on Thursday.

“We have been seriously thinking about it for several years, we have certain advancements in this direction, but no decision has been made yet. We understand that it could have been very interesting for us taking into account the tendencies of the current year and the future tendencies. We are speaking about the medium term of two to three years,” he said.

Acquisition of a fleet coincides with the Russian government’s strategy of raising the share of cargoes transshipped under the Russian flag until 2030, he said.

He also said that raising containerization of cargoes to 30% in 2035 from the current figure of 11% is achievable.
